February 7, 2024 (Chicago, IL) - Author and speaker Julianne Stanz, a regular representative at national and international Catholic evangelization committees and conferences, has joined Loyola Press publishing house effective January 2024. Loyola Press is a Chicago-based ministry that serves as an apostolic work of the Midwest Province of the Society of Jesus.
A native of Ireland, Stanz has served the Church in a variety of ways and at all levels for the past 20 years. Most recently, she was Director of Evangelization and Discipleship in the Diocese of Green Bay while serving on several USCCB and Vatican committees.
“I am truly blessed to contribute to the international dialogue on evangelization at this time in the history of the Catholic Church,” Stanz said. “There are tremendous opportunities to share the Gospel message and to connect people with the loving presence of Jesus Christ all across the globe. I look forward to extending this mission through the work of Loyola Press and supporting bishops, priests, diocesan directors, and parish staff in this key role.”
Stanz will be the Director of Outreach for Evangelization and Discipleship, a new position created to reflect the importance of evangelizing catechesis in a multicultural Church. Among other responsibilities, Stanz will focus on missionary discipleship, leadership development, parish life resources, and various partnerships for diocesan and Church leadership. Stanz will continue to honor her national and international commitments, including her role in the National Eucharistic Congress.
“We could not be more delighted to expand our reach with someone as qualified and respected as Julianne,” said Joellyn Cicciarelli, president and publisher of Loyola Press. “We have worked hand-in-hand with Julianne for almost a decade as an author and speaker, so to have her full attention on initiatives that share the beauty of our faith is wonderful news not just for us, but for the entire Church.”
Stanz, who has published exclusively with Loyola Press, is the author of several bestselling books including The Catholic Parents’ Survival Guide: Straight Answers to your Kids’ Toughest Questions, Braving the Thin Places: Celtic Wisdom to Create a Space for Grace, Start with Jesus: How Everyday Disciples Will Renew The Church, and Developing Disciples of Christ.
