June 8, 2022 (Chicago, IL) - Loyola Press announces today that The Fire of Eden, third in the popular Harwood Mystery series has been awarded the prestigious Excellence in Publishing awards by the Association of Catholic Publishers (ACP) in the category of Children's Books: Teens.
The Fire of Eden, like the previous two Harwood Mysteries books for teens, is a work of historical fiction, following the ongoing adventures of a young orphan boy called Xan. The series explores religious ideas in a way that is accessible to teens, while fostering curiosity and wonder. The author includes historical notes that help teens understand life in Medieval England, as well as people, places, and things found in the Catholic church at the time.
In The Fire of Eden, Xan of Harwood Abbey joins forces with his most unlikely ally ever to uncover the mystery of the loss of the Fire of Eden, a coveted priceless ruby.
